C. Michael Hayward – Chief Executive Officer

C. Michael Hayward

Mr. Hayward founded Hybricon Corporation in 1976 and served as its President until July 2000 when he became the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. Mr. Hayward is a recognized pioneer in the interconnect market and has extensive management and technical experience.  His strong commitment to quality is demonstrated by the achievements of Hybricon's Continuous Quality Improvement Program lead by the Quality Improvement Steering Committee, and also by Hybricon's achievement of attaining ISO 9001 registration in 1996.

Mr. Hayward’s entrepreneurial management skills are based on previous successful ventures, having founded Dynamic Measurements Corporation, a manufacturer of data conversion products and H.C.& E. Inc., a high tech consulting and engineering firm.  He holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of La Plata in Buenos Aires, Argentina and completed post-graduate studies at Mid-Essex Technical College in Chelmsford, England. 

Mr. Hayward is a Lifetime Member of the IEEE and a Senior Member of the IEE (UK).  He is also a member of the AMA's President's Association (The CEO Division of American Management Association), NAM (National Association of Manufacturers), AIM (Associated Industries of Massachusetts) and is a member, and former Director of SBANE (Small Business Association of New England).  He holds various patents related to the disciplines of analog and digital circuits, signal integrity, backplane design and thermal management of electronic equipment and currently has several patents pending. 

Paul R. Freve - President

Paul R. Freve

Paul Freve was appointed as President of Hybricon Corporation on July 2, 2000, and is responsible for the leadership and implementation of Hybricon’s strategic business plan, financial and innovation management, and all aspects of the day-to-day operational management of the company. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Freve served as Vice President of Engineering where he was responsible for Hybricon’s engineering and new product development. He has over 30 years experience in the design and manufacture of electronic instrumentation, sub-systems and system solutions.

Mr. Freve's previous experience includes Engineering Management at GenRad and Comark, along with positions as Design Engineer and Product Design Engineer for GenRad and Data Terminal Systems.  He is a graduate of the Owner/President Management Program (OPM31) at Harvard Business School. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Management from Nichols College. He is a member of ASME, and currently holds a patent on a probe for capacitive open-circuit tests. 

Robert Sullivan – Vice President and Corporate Director of Technology (CTO)

Robert Sullivan

Robert Sullivan is Vice President and Corporate Director of Technology, having joined Hybricon in 1997.  Mr. Sullivan is responsible for keeping abreast of industry technology trends, setting technical direction for the company, and defining technical approaches and solutions to solve challenging problems for Hybricon’s key customers.  He is active on both VITA/VSO and PICMG technical standards committees.  At Hybricon, he has led major programs for communications, military, and industrial applications.

Mr. Sullivan has over 30 years’ experience in the design of high performance instrumentation and systems, serving as Chief Engineer at Analogic Corporation and as both Director of Engineering and General Manager at GenRad Inc.  He holds a number of patents in the design of high performance systems, and has authored various technical papers and magazine articles.  His technical background includes system design, high precision DSP-based instrumentation (to 20 bits, 120dB SNR), and high bandwidth DSP-based instrumentation (to >1 GSPS). He received his MS degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.

James F. Williams, Jr. – Vice President of Operations

Mr. Williams has been Hybricon’s Vice President of Operations since 1982 and is responsible for managing the Production, Procurement and Planning operations. He has been with Hybricon since its inception in 1976, with over 30 years experience in all facets of manufacturing.

Mr. Williams has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Wentworth College. He is a member of the AMA (American Management Association) and is a participating member of APIX. He has received leadership and management training at Harvard University Business School.

Neil Peterson – Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Neil Peterson

Mr. Peterson demonstrates 25 years of experience in tech companies with the last 18 years focused on WW sales, sales management/process, marketing, P&L, organization development, intellectual property licensing, product/business development and channels/partnership development. He also possess strong leadership capabilities and people management skills, plus excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.

Prior to Hybricon he was the VP of WW Sales at QNX Software Systems. QNX is a Embedded Systems Development Company; Real-time operating systems, development tools, middleware and services for embedded applications targeted at large OEMs in the Auto, Netcom, Med, IA and Mil markets. During his tenure he oversaw significant revenue growth, $20M to $55M. He also served as Sr VP of Sales and GM of NetSilicon's Intelligent Devices Div, a provider of integrated system-on-silicon and software solutions for OEMs of networked enabled devices.

At Netsilcon, he led the conceptualization, design and implementation of the go-to-market strategy of the company's next generation NETARM platform that provided significant market and revenue expansion. Lastly, he was the GM and VP of Sales of DPI/Netsilcon's Imaging Div, where he developed a vision, market and leadership product strategy that established the company as a leader in the Imaging market that resulted in revenue growth of $0 to $40M.

Paul Flagg – Director of Engineering

Paul Flagg is Vice President of Engineering, having joined Hybricon in 2007.  Mr. Flagg has twenty-five years experience in high-tech companies covering the consumer, professional, industrial, telecommunications and defense industries. Mr. Flagg’s corporate experience ranges from such companies as Radiospire Networks in Hudson MA., NMS Communications in Framingham, MA., Reflection Technology in Waltham, MA., Bose Corporation in Framingham, MA., and Kronos Inc. to name a few.

As the Senior Engineering Manager, he is responsible of creating high performance product teams via strong team building and leadership skills, manage budgets and schedules to meet challenging corporate objectives, nurture close cross-functional working relationships internally to accomplish project goals, establish and maintain external contractor relationships to augment internal development capabilities and dramatically improve product quality by creating process and procedures utilized during the development cycle.

Michael T. Pieniazek – Vice President of Finance

Michael T. Pieniazek, Vice President of Finance, brings over twenty-five years of broad international financial, operational and administrative management experience having served in various senior executive positions including President, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at several publicly-traded medical device and biotechnology companies, including, Equidyne Corporation, a California-based medical device company, Precision Optics Corporation, Organogenesis Inc. and Uromedical Diagnostic Inc.

Mr. Pieniazek began his career as an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers LLP)) and is a graduate of Villanova University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Mr. Pieniazek has extensive experience in acquisitions, managing corporate structure in growing organizations, and evaluation and execution of debt and equity financing transactions.

Gerry Cahill – Vice President of Information Technology

Gerry Cahill

Mr. Cahill joined Hybricon in 1985 and has been Vice President of Information Technology since 2000. He is responsible for managing all aspects of Hybricon’s information technology systems including computers, networks, and programming.

Mr. Cahill holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell where he was a Dean’s List student. To keep up with the latest computer technology, he is an active member of the M2M User Group.

Rolando Kurs – Vice President

Rolando Kurs

Mr. Kurs has been with Hybricon since1979 serving as accountant, controller, Vice President of Finance and CFO where he was responsible for directing all aspects of the financial and accounting activities of the organization. In March 2005 he became Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors with responsibility for administering the 401K account and directing a variety of special projects.

Mr. Kurs has over 35 years experience in the finance field. His previous experiences have been with the Purity Supreme Corporation and the ITT Sheraton Corporation where he was head of the Accounting Departments. He has a five-year university degree in Accounting obtained in Cuba and held the position of Manager of the Budget & Accounting Department of the Department of Public Health for the Cuban government.

Riselys Q. Gorini – Director of Human Resources

Riselys Q. Gorini

Ms. Gorini has been an employee of Hybricon for 16 years and has been Director of Human Resources since 1999. She is responsible for recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, safety, training and development programs, and interfacing with government agencies.  

Ms. Gorini has a Certificate in Human Resources, a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Spanish with a minor in Psychology from UMASS Lowell and an MBA from Western New England College. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ayer Industrial Association, SBANE’s Human Resources Committee, the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the Associated Industries of Massachusetts, Inc.  (AIM). These affiliations allow Reese to stay involved with local community issues and in touch with the latest Human Resources developments.
