Senior Test Technician
Excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Test Technician to develop test procedures and debug and troubleshoot electrical / electromechanical assemblies as required by manufacturing and Quality.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop electrical test procedures / checklists for Manufacturing and Quality.
- Debug and troubleshoot electrical / electromechanical assemblies as required by manufacturing and Quality.
- Interface with customers/vendors and internal personnel on issues related to Return of Materials (RMA’s). To ensure successful resolution to any RMA problem.
- Perform firmware download and configuration, and hard drive formatting.
- Attend requirements and design reviews when electrical testing is required.
- Develop and write IVIS – 4 programs for the WEE testers and Agilent basic programs for the Agilent Data Acquisition Unit.
- Design and develop fixturing and adapters for subassembly test and as an interface between the testers and electrical / electromechanical assemblies.
- Coordinate with Engineering to identify and develop customer specific bus testing requirements. May include test support at external test facility
- Breadboard and test engineering development / prototype circuits.
- Prepare documentation in accordance with ISO 9001.
Required Experience:
- At least 5 years electrical / electromechanical industry experience, including demonstrated “hands on” experience in electrical test and inspection.
- Ability to read an interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematic diagrams, industry and customer specific performance requirements and specifications.
- Ability to debug and troubleshoot electrical/electromechanical assemblies.
- Experience with solving electrical Systems Integration problems.
- Computer literacy with the ability to program software driven electrical test equipment. Familiarity with precision measurement instruments and electronic test equipment including, but not limited to digital volt / ohmmeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, ground continuity tester, HiPot Tester and cable pull tester.
- Ability to communicate effectively with inside personnel, as well as customers and vendors. Able to prioritize work.
- Ability to handle multiple projects in an environment of changing priorities and short timeframes.
- Result oriented with strong personal drive and personal ownership in meeting commitments.
- Excellent organizational skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
