Test Engineer

Excellent opportunity for an experienced Test Engineer to define and implement new verification and validation processes, develop test procedures for new products and provide hands-on support to the design team during the design and release of new products.

 Primary Responsibilities will include:

Reporting to Engineering, this position will be responsible for the design verification and validation of new products being released into Manufacturing. You will be responsible for the definition and integration of test procedures in support of new product introductions. These products will be electro-mechanical in nature and the verification and validation will focus on interconnect, power and thermal features and functionality. This will require early interaction with Design Engineering to understand the intent and to define, design and implement a robust and repeatable verification and validation solution. The generation of supporting documentation from initial test plan thru the final test report will also be required. Participation in design reviews from a design for manufacturing perspective is expected.

Ideal Candidate Should Possess

  • A BSEE with at least 5 years experience.
  • Proven design for testability (DTF) and/or design for manufacturability (DFM) experience.
  • Experience in defining and implementing test procedures including the definition and procurement of required test equipment. Labview experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Orcad (schematic capture) and /or Solidworks (3D modeling) a plus.
  • Experience with solving complex electrical system integration problems.
  • Ability to understand electrical power supply issues for integrated test/embedded systems.
  • Experience designing and specifying wiring harnesses for a complex integrated test system.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with inside personnel, as well as customers and vendors.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and timely communications with peers and management.
  • Result oriented with strong personal drive and personal ownership in meeting commitments.
  • Excellent organizational skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
