Our state of the art management information system, kept to the latest technological levels, provides instantaneous access to critical information. All aspects of order processing through materials handling and shop floor allocations are precisely handled to provide consistent delivery to exacting schedules. Data is also processed for accurate measurement and analysis of quality levels for use by cross-functional quality improvement teams reporting to the Quality Improvement Steering Committee. Consistency of performance is a major reason for Hybricon's high customer satisfaction rating.
Time to market for new products is critical in the competitive global marketplace. Backplanes and enclosure systems have traditionally required long lead times for the development and prototype stages. Here at Hybricon we have met this problem head on with interactive CAD/CAE which has been regularly updated to take advantage of productivity and capability enhancements. Radically new CAD and CAE modeling technology has enabled us to bring design quality, productivity and cost improvements to our customers.
Technology leadership in our field has always been a hallmark of Hybricon. Through our technology advancement activities led by a Director of Technology and supported by an academic consulting group, technology is "built in" to our products, which are designed by a highly capable engineering team reporting to the Vice President of Engineering.
In 1988 we became the first company to bring computer modeling and simulation of signal integrity to the backplane design and manufacturing industry. Hybricon was able to optimize and prove out high performance backplane designs before building prototypes, saving significant design time as well as engineering and manufacturing costs. We have forged relationships with major universities and are providing financial support in the form of research grants to advance the state of the art in signal integrity and heat removal. Through this passion and dedication to being the best, Hybricon has become recognized as a truly outstanding design and manufacturing source for high performance backplanes.
Hybricon's enclosure systems include impressive innovations. Ruggedness, cooling and ease of application are some examples. Our CoolSlot (TM) air diffuser card guide is one of the latest examples of the components of the industry's best enclosure heat removal systems. These provide uniform laminar airflow to maintain air velocity and focus turbulence around the electronic components for efficient heat removal.
Low product cost starts with designs which maximize performance output with lowest cost components which can meet the performance and quality criteria. To meet our cost and quality goals products must be engineered for manufacturability through all elements of the supplier and in-house chain. For example, we have proven many times that the cost of high performance can be held down by intelligent and accurate design enabling the use of less costly transceivers, connectors, layer counts and other components. With highly accurate cost data provided by our information management system we are consistently competitive over the whole range of standard and custom products we supply within the whole competitive arena, not withstanding the unusually high level of engineering support we are able to provide.
