Hybricon has extensive capabilities for thermal analysis, signal integrity analysis, and structural analysis. With these tools, Hybricon can provide their customers with a completely engineered solution; eliminating the need for expensive cut-and-try prototype or post-design modification. Furthermore, these tools provide an invaluable tool for what-if analysis, and proof of concept before the enclosure and associated electronics are ever fabricated.

Technology

Hybricon publishes a series of technical papers targeted to assist our customers in making informed choices. These publications are divided into three categories: Capabilities Focus, Technology Focus, and Performance Data.

Thermal Engineering

Today’s high performance systems require world class thermal capabilities.  Whether you have 200 Watt air cooled 6U boards, conduction cooled 100 Watt boards, or a liquid cooled chassis on a fighter jet, Hybricon has already done it   In applications ranging from air cooled to conduction cooled or liquid cooled, Hybricon is the vendor of choice for high power solutions (see Thermal Analysis section). 

We also use our advanced thermal analysis capabilities to help our customers to optimize their board designs.

Signal Integrity Engineering

Today’s high performance systems require world class signal integrity capabilities.  Many of today’s standard switched fabric backplanes are operating at 2.5 Gps to 3.125 Gbps, with leading edge products operating at 6.25 Gps to 10 Gbps.  With 20 years of experience in signal integrity simulation, Hybricon has already done it.  In fact, Hybricon performed signal integrity simulation studies for standard groups in developing many of today’s standard backplanes.   In applications ranging from PICMG 2.16 to MicroTCA, VXS, VPX, or custom backplanes Hybricon is the vendor of choice for high speed backplane signaling (see Signal Integrity Analysis section).

Structural Engineering

Today’s high performance military and aerospace systems require world class structural and ruggedization capabilities.  Whether you have air cooled, conduction cooled, or liquid cooled applications, rack mount or ATR, Hybricon has already done it.  In applications ranging from military ground vehicles to surface ships, submarines, helicopters, propeller and jet aircraft, Hybricon is the vendor of choice for rugged MIL-spec and ruggedized COTS applications.

3D Mechanical Engineering

Hybricon’s PAC-2000 components, subassemblies, and standard enclosures provide an extensive library that allows us to rapidly tailor a solution for our customers.

We utilize 3D CAD design for all of our products, utilizing SolidWorks.  We can import and export from/to most CAD packages.  The free viewers offered by SolidWorks allow our customers to review our 3D designs, even if they are not SolidWorks users.

Electrical Engineering

Hybricon’s industry standard backplanes provide an extensive library that allows us to rapidly tailor a solution for our customers.

We also have a broad range of standard power supplies, monitoring, and control circuits that we utilize to meet our customers’ requirements.

Intellectual Property

Hybricon currently holds several patents and a number of patent applications pending. These patents reflect Hybricon’s commitment to provide superior, innovative solutions to our customers.

Agency Certification

We have extensive experience in developing systems that have been certified to UL, CSA, TUV, CE, and NEBS standards. 

We have also qualified many of our Military and Aerospace solutions to military and aerospace standards such as MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD -167, MIL-S-901, MIL-STD-704, and RTCA/DO-160.
